The automobile industry has also seen a change with consumers and their vehicles. Americans are hanging on to their cars longer and maintaining them and fixing them instead of getting the newest car at the dealership. This has damaging the car industry incredibly but has increased business for car repair shops that do repairs and maintenance of automobiles. They are also keeping itmes on their cars longer as well, such as tires and having them rotated instead of purchasing new ones.
